Confllict

Some of the conflicts in this story are training kits to be warriors, following the code, and fighting for your clan.  Most of the conflicts point to the code being made.  Like in chapter 6 the conflict is getting warriors to stop messing around.  That leads to the code: Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.

  1. Good Evening with a "G":

As you read this book do the conflicts seem to become more serious as to the survival of the Clan?
Think about the conflicts in "Red Fern" how are they the same and how are they different in this book?
I spoke with your father on Sunday, and suggested that we, your Mom and Dad, both Grandmas and I, all read the same book. We can all discuss it here on you blog if you think that would be fun.
Wilson Rawls is an excellent writer and has written The Summer of the Monkeys or The Call of the Wild by Jack London or The Giver by Lois Lowry or Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes. Any one of these three are classical Young Adult title and all are excellently written.
Colton you might look up each title and read about it to help you decide. I hope eventually you read them all.
